Though i still have the same problem [as was the older versions] when i adjusted the volume via the 1by1 menu. The WAVE settings in the audio panel gets moved down. Which is quite a hassle since i haven't modified it in the first place. If this gets fixed, then all the better.

That seems to be the correct behaviour. 1by1 sets the volume of your wave device. And the windows/soundcard mixer does the same with the "wave" slider. They both acess the volume of the same device.

You can use the "Alternative volume setting" in the play settings of 1by1. Then 1by1 should not touch the wave device volume but calculate the volume internally.

I had search the forum 'cus i had the same problem
with *.wav and with CDs, always the volum gets down.

"Alternative volume setting" didn't help for CDs.
After each title i had to adjust the sound in the "audio panel".

Is there a workaround too ?

I eventually got in_CDReader.dll to work and disabled the in_cdda.dll plugin.
This also cured the volume resetting problem. CDReader does not use the CD volume control on my Santa Cruz sound card.
